My little girl recently turned 18 months, and with this milestone, she is growing out of her clothes. Lucky for me, her growth spurts generally seem to coincide with the seasons. So, I did some shopping today, a lot of shopping, but I did so in a smart way. I visited a consignment sale, a consignment store, Marshalls, and the clearance rack at Target. I took my daughter downtown last weekend to the Children's Festival of Reading in World's Fair Park. It is an annual free event sponsored by my county public library. In the world of education today, there seems to be a constant demand for educators from all levels to wear multiple hats; this often includes maintaining a website. Because there are only, thankfully 24 hours in a day, I feel that educators have a hard time keeping up with the demands of maintaining their websites, let alone learning HTML code. I learned something useful today and just wanted to share. Have you ever wanted to take a screenshot on your Mac without going through the trouble of opening up Grab? Well Command+Shift+3 will take a screen shot of your entire screen and Command+Shift+4 will allow you make a selection for a screen shot. Hope this saves someone else as much time as it has been saving me.

So I finished reformatting the hard drive on my G4. I was unable to repair the damage to the hard drive using the Disk Utilities, so I erased, reformatted, and completed a clean install on the hard drive using the disks that came with my computer. My Mac is now a virgin again, so to speak. Because I've already cloned the hard drive to my new Mac and most of my software only has one user license,
